On the 11th day of the 11th month, "the war to end all wars" was brought to a stop. After the First World War, the day was declared Armistice Day, a day to celebrate peace. That changed after the Second World War. Now it's Veteran's Day, a day to recognize what people give for their country, even though their fight may have been misguided.
