David couldn't say for certain this was the happiest he'd been, but he was certain he'd never been happier. And that he was only this happy with Marie.
Still, there were practicalities that couldn't be ignored. Marie had had to work, and he had had to pick up his things from the hotel, and find room for them. After that he had gone for a walk, to familiarize himself with the neighborhood. Then he had briefly looked over what was happening on the community before putting the laptop away.
Marie should be getting back soon, and there was a lot that hadn't gotten around to talking about yet.
